Possible, but I doubt it. I didn't check dates or any of the tech details, but the responses seem too well done to be canned. I doubt this is fake. The op in the dog thread asked the student his teacher's lineage in a myspace chat. The OP then goes to the teacher's forum and asks a question and then all hell breaks loose. Sensei Al starts off fiery but then does a noticeable disappearing act once things get too hot. Furthermore, I've been on bullshido long enough to know that this is doing a pretty good job of following the typical McDojo/Bullshido cult bullshit a lot of these types of joints adhere to. If it's a hoax, it's a very, very well done one.

They curtailed the forum raid (plus people got bored) but the pressure is not stopping.

I've passed on Al's name and the situation to BK, and I guess this shit is up in all kinds of BJJ forums. I'm of the opinion this should be passed along to everyone possible, until this guy either folds, or is outed, either as a fraud or the most unlikely BJJ black belt ever.

Seriously, anywhere else you post, put this guy's name out there. He doesn't seem to get it. They think this is some kind of kids forum raid, and that if they deal with the forum problems, and stage a challange match, this whole question is going to go away.

John Jensen is coming back to the US in July, and has plans to pay Mr. Perry's school a visit. John is a BJJ brown belt, one of the founders of Millenia JJ, and a former MMA fighter (most noteably kneebared by Lister).

Challange matches (which will solve nothing, but possibly be amusing) are going down at the Fighthouse in NY this weekend.

I also get the impression that Al thinks this shit is going to end with the forum raid dying down, and him staging this ridiculous challange match shit. Al is not getting it.

Everyone is supposed to provide picture IDs and verify who they are. Supposedly to be recorded on camera.

In case anyone wondered, no one has run into ANYONE who has ever heard of Al Perry yet.
